6 TYPES OF EVENT Events and Social Media go hand in hand from start to finish no matter what type of event you’re holding. New Product Launch Private Viewings of Collections Trial or Taster Evening Activity Sessions Shopping Events In pairs think of two types of event your business could hold to and how Social Media could help.

7 BEFORE Get people to register their interest in an event on facebook so you know how much appetite there is. Sharing details and promote your event on Social Media beforehand, create a campaign counting down to the event to build suspense. Ticket Sale Openings and Promo Codes Announcements to boost sales. Mentioning Guests to increase engagement and interest in attendance. Mentioning Speakers and Activities to increase reach and amplification.

Save videos and picture albums for people to tag themselves in generating interaction. Allow users to upload their content to your Social Media or tag you in posts. Reward followers who interacted with you promo codes for new events or event merchandise. Use the content you’ve gathered to feed future Social posts. Write a blog post about the event and share it on your channels.

You can also hold online events that can be equally beneficial for your business. Change event photo/video so it is relevant Add an event name, make sure to get attention Add location Add a start and end time, is it a recurring event? Add a description of what should people expect Add relevant words to target the right people Is this a ticket event? Add a URL Share the organising by adding a co-host! Either Save as a Draft or Publish if you’re ready to hold your event.

Whether you choose to build a separate e-commerce shop or leverage your social media channels to sell, being able to share and promote your products on Social Media is essential for success.

Most platforms will integrate with your Social Media to allow you to manage promotions easily from one place. 17 CREATE YOUR SHOP Select Shop from the Left Hand Menu and set up your product. If you don’t see it, go to Settings, Edit Page, Manage Tabs and add the tab or change the page template. Don’t have products yet? Try adding an offer to your page or setting up your business Milestones.

Most sites or online stores have this functionality built in already, if not you can use custom code or a pre-built widget to easily add links to your site. 20 SOCIAL LOG IN If you have a website or application that requires users to log in, enabling signing up and logging in via social media is preferable for a number of reasons. Ease of use for your customers. Usually signing in via Social takes a couple of clicks to get set up. They also don’t have to worry about managing lots of passwords. You’ll get access to their social media data allowing you to create personalised and analytic driven campaigns.

21 SOCIAL FEEDS Adding feeds of your Social Media Activity is a great way to showcase your efforts and prove why people should follow you. It also can act as additional content on your site, helping to break up sections of text or products.
