3. A Remote PIC must report accidents to the FAA within ten days if…
Serious injury to any person or any loss of consciousness
$500 or more damage to a property
Does not refer to the UAV

4. Serious Personal Injury
A serious injury is an injury that qualifies as Level 3 or higher on the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS)
It’s a Level 3 injury if the person requires hospitalization even if they are expected to make a full recovery
Level 4 is severe
Level 5 is critical
Level 6 is a nonsurvivable injury

5. Property Damage
The FAA considers property damage to be high enough to report when either of the following are true
The cost of repair (materials and labor) exceeds $500
The fair market value of the property exceeds $500 in the event of total loss
