2 United Way Campaign The United Way fundraising campaign is a district-wide initiative that is conducted every school year and involves the handling of monetary donations from students, as well as School Board employees. Revenue for the United Way Student campaign, can be generated as follows: School Allied Organizations (PTA, Booster Club) Sponsor Fund-raising activities Official FM 6570 & 6571 required NO EMPLOYEES INVOLVEMENT Proceeds are donated to school’s campaign School Activities Direct solicitation from students School site fundraising activities Ambassador Responsibility Assuring Daily collections are processed and forwarded to the treasurer in a timely manner Please refer to The Ambassador packet for further instructions Treasurer Responsibilities Process daily collections in eSAS Issue check as instructed by Office of Community Engagement Office Should not be designated as United Way Ambassador

4 Required Signatures for Disbursements
Section II Chapter 1 page 1-2 Required Signatures for Disbursements Checks must be signed by two of the authorized signers Two Administrators OR One Administrator and One Clerical

5 CROWDFUNDING Crowdfunding utilizes an online service or website-based platform. Crowdfunding activities are aimed at raising funds for a specific classroom or school activity, including extra-curricular activity, or to obtain supplemental resources (e.g. supplies or equipment). Approvals: Specific Approval by the principal and the region administrator (e.g. school activity or extra-curricular activity) Activities for Specific Causes require approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee (e.g. Disaster Relief and Good Cause Relief Efforts) Approval Form Internal Fund will only be responsible for processing the proceeds received from Crowdfunding activities. Proceeds received from these activities shall follow the Manual of Internal Fund Accounting as listed below: Section IV Chapter 13 - Gifts, Incentives and Donations Section II Chapter 2 - Collection of Money Board Policy 6605
