Second International Conference on Language Development, Language Revitalization and Multilingual Education in Ethno-linguistic Communities 1-3 July 2008 / The Twin Towers Hotel, Bangkok THE USE OF THE MOTHER TONGUE AS BRIDGE LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN COUNTRIES: POLICY, STRATEGIES AND ADVOCACY The project provides opportunity to explore how Southeast Asian countries, through appropriate language policies, can achieve Education for All (EFA) by widening access, reduce repetitions and drop-outs and improve learning outcomes Funds to be received on 5 installments upon completion of certain activities. 1st&2nd already received. 3rd one will be requested next week.

Second International Conference on Language Development, Language Revitalization and Multilingual Education in Ethno-linguistic Communities 1-3 July 2008 / The Twin Towers Hotel, Bangkok THE USE OF THE MOTHER TONGUE AS BRIDGE LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION IN SOUTHEAST ASIAN COUNTRIES: POLICY, STRATEGIES AND ADVOCACY Objectives of the Project: to review and assess the use of mother tongue as language of instruction to assist countries to devise strategies for improving their language and language-in-education policies Funds to be received on 5 installments upon completion of certain activities. 1st&2nd already received. 3rd one will be requested next week.

Funds to be received on 5 installments upon completion of certain activities. 1st&2nd already received. 3rd one will be requested next week.
