4 Standard Products – Surveys
Common Frame Basis for all economic surveys Unit ID ISIC Number of employees Alive status States of Operation Type of Business This is Australia & Canada actually. Similar Units model and survey programme. Main variation is choice of Statistician variable (Employment, Turnover, Tax paid etc). Also locations may or may not be important. Economic surveys all having same data source supports coherence.

Unit record estimates (Quarterly) Data sources Australia All LEs and TAUs Turnover ($) Tax Paid ($) Wages and Salaries ($) Used for data substitution & validation But if Norway SBR….. In Norway superior admin data allows much more detailed economic estimates to be made from admin data alone.

7 Confidentiality Willingness Confidence
No identifiable unit record data Protected If you want providers (Businesses or government agencies) to be willing to give you data you need them to be confidence you will keep it confidential. This means;

Unit record data is not released publicly; is available to authorised people on a need to know basis only; cannot be derived from disseminated data; and is maintained and accessed securely. Legislation Agreements with providers
