15 minutes Take out your Prep Work and read it through. 5 people will be selected at random to show their work under the visualiser and tell the class about the tribe that they have researched.

Learn to share the information from your prep work to inform your peers about your findings. Develop group working skills. Learn about the work of either Pablo Picasso or Amadeo Modigliani and their links/influences with African masks. Learn to research relevant information using books and/or ibooks and the Internet What I’m looking for… You have a knowledge and understanding about an African tribe which you have researched and (if selected) you are able to deliver a confident, short presentation to your peers. You gain an ability to use the ibooks to do research on the Internet. You are able to work cooperatively as a group in order to prepare a group presentation.

Before starting the next bit of work… What makes a good presentation?
5 minutes Watch a teacher demonstration to learn how to load up, and use, the Internet on the Apple Macs to gather research. In addition, you will be shown how to copy and paste any information and imagery into Neo Office for later use on Microsoft Word. You will now be put into a mixed group by the teacher.
20 minutes You will now be put into a mixed group by the teacher. You will be given a task sheet – based on either Picasso or Modigliani. As a group you will do some research on the Macs and perhaps in books and work collaboratively to put together a group presentation. You should create something to show the group – A PowerPoint, Visual board etc. 4

PREP.WORK PREP.WORK WK2 You need to get together in your group to complete some more of your presentation work. You will have just 15 minutes at the start of next lesson to get prepared before delivering your presentation to the class. Your presentation should last about 5 – 8 minutes

5 minutes Turn to the back of your sketchbook, look at the learning objectives from the start of the lesson, tick each statement to indicate how confident you feel you have met each one (fully, partially, not at all).
