5 What are rights? Things that everyone NEEDS to live a happy, healthy safe life food water shelter love learning feeling safe

7 United Nations The UN (United Nations) is a group of people who work to try and make sure every child has the same rights no matter which country they live in.

8 United Nations In 1989 the UN created an international law called : The rights of a child. All countries in the world agreed to follow it except the USA.

9 The U.N. rights of a child Adults should do what is best for you.
You have the right to live in a safe and secure place You have the right to think what you like You have the right to be whatever religion you want to be You have the right to make friends You have the right to read No one should hurt you You have the right to good health You have the right to clothes, food and a safe place to live You have the right to education You have the right to enjoy your own culture You have the right to speak your own language You have the right to play
