Recall Equipment : Stitches used in this project: Snake stitch What is meant by GLOBAL? Core skills I am learning this term MOODBOARD A mood board is a type of collage consisting of images, text, and samples of objects in a composition. It can be based upon a set topic or can be any material chosen at random. A mood board can be used to give a general idea of a topic that you were given, or can be used to show how different something is from the modern day. They may be physical or digital, and can be "extremely effective" presentation tools Cross stitch Textile equipment knowledge: Internet links – As part of your homework you will be asked to research here are three links to short films on global community and what the 9 habits mean:

ANGIE LEWIN KNOWLEDGE : Angie Lewin was born in 1964, Cheshire. She studied BA(Hons) Fine Art Printmaking at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design between 1983 and 1986, followed by a year’s part-time postgraduate printmaking at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. After working in London as an illustrator Lewin studied horticulture and moving to Norfolk after promoted her return to print making Recall Equipment : Stitches used in this project: St. Martins college of Art and Design, is one of the top universities in the UK for creative subjects Core skills I am learning this term Embroidery is the handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle to apply thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as, pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. Those stitches remain the fundamental techniques of hand embroidery today. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. In modern days, embroidery is usually seen on caps, hats, coats, blankets, dress shirts, denim, dresses, stockings, and golf shirts. Embroidery is available with a wide variety of thread or yarn colour. Some of the basic techniques or stitches of the earliest embroidery are chain stitch, buttonhole or blanket stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, cross stitch. Those stitches remain the fundamental techniques of hand embroidery today. What are the Core skills I am learning this term Recall Equipment : Stitches used in this project: Keith Allen Haring (May 4, 1958 – February 16, 1990) was an American artist whose pop art and graffiti-like work grew out of the New York City street culture of the 1980s. Haring's work grew to popularity from his spontaneous drawings in New York City subways – chalk outlines on blank black advertising-space backgrounds – depicting radiant babies, flying saucers, and deified dogs.[1] After public recognition he created larger scale works such as colorful murals, many of them commissioned.[1] His imagery has "become a widely recognized visual language".[2] His later work often addressed political and societal themes – especially homosexuality and AIDS – through his own iconography.[3] What is meant by Textiles Wall Art? What is the definition of design ? Design is the creation of a plan or convention for the construction of an object, system or measurable human interaction (as in architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, business processes, circuit diagrams, and sewing patterns).] Design has different connotations in different fields (see design disciplines below). In some cases, the direct construction of an object (as in pottery, engineering, management, coding, and graphic design) is also considered to use design thinking. Designing often necessitates considering the aesthetic, functional, economic, and socio-political dimensions of both the design object and design process. It may involve considerable research, thought, modelling, interactive adjustment, and re-design. Meanwhile, diverse kinds of objects may be designed, including clothing, graphical user interfaces, products, skyscrapers, corporate identities, business processes, and even methods or processes of designing.
