2 Adult Awards Why??? Because – sometimes doubling your scout volunteer’s pay just isn’t enough

3 ADULT AWARDS Scouter awards can be used to honor Adult Leaders.
Most Scouter awards are knots - representative of pin-on medals, around-the-neck awards, or award certificates - designed for the convenience of the wearer. The knots are worn centered on the left side of the uniform, in rows of three with the bottom edge of the knot(s) touching the top edge of the pocket flap. There are some non-knot awards, such as the Amateur Radio Operator Rating Strip, the Arrowhead Honor, the Outdoor Ethics awards, etc.

4 ADULT AWARDS Earned as a Youth
The Venturing Leadership Award. Adults may earn this, but at least 50% of these awards in a given year must go to registered Venturing youth Youth Religious award, cloth, silver knot on purple, No , may be worn by youth or adult members The Quartermaster Award is the highest rank in Sea Scouts The Venturing Silver Award is the highest award in the Venturing advancement program Arrow of Light, red and green knot, green to right, No , for use by adult leaders only Eagle Scout, cloth, red, white, and blue knot on tan with tan border National Eagle Scout Association Life member, cloth, red, white, and blue knot on tan with silver border. May be only worn by life members of the National Eagle Scout Association

5 ADULT AWARDS BRAVERY AWARDS
. BRAVERY AWARDS Medal of Merit Knot Medal of Merit - Awarded by the National Council for heroism with little or no risk to life. Honor Medal Knot Honor Medal - Awarded by the National Council to those who risk their lives to save another

6 ADULT AWARDS Den Leader Award Knot Den Leader's Training Award - One year of tenure and other requirements Scouter's Training Award - Basic Training and other requirements. Various requirements, depending on the program. Scouter's Key - Various requirements, depending on the program.  - Commissioners, Scoutmasters, Venturing Advisors, and others. Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award - The National OA committee presents the Distinguished Service Award to those Arrowmen who have rendered outstanding service to the Order William T. Hornaday Award - Recognizes Scouts, Explorers and Scouters for conservation and ecology efforts in their communities. District Award of Merit - Presented to Scouters at the District level for unusual dedication and service.

7 ADULT AWARDS Adult Religious Award - Worn by adults who received religious awards as an adult. SUPPORT OF SCOUTING James West Fellowship Award - Worn by those honored for their personal donation of a minimum of $1000 to a local Council Endowment Fund, or honored by others with such a donation William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer Award - Worn by those honored for starting a new unit. Silver Beaver - Presented to Scouters at the Council level for unusual dedication and service. .
