Build community capacity to influence alcohol Licensing Board policy Make licensing process more responsive to the communities served Identify communities who may wish local retailers to curtail supply of very cheap alcohol

Secure an alcohol-free childhood
Challenge the drip-drip normalisation of alcohol as an ordinary commodity Facilitate conversation about the plausible (but wrong) beliefs about alcohol and kids Reduce community tolerance of inappropriate advertising eg #alcoholfreekids

Acceptability (Social norms)
Include alcohol considerations in health equalities impact assessment of CLD policy Improve community learning about the risks (eg cancer)

Improve levels of engagement with treatment services
Only 7-15% of estimated dependent drinkers engaged with services CLD staff to be able to guide folk to services

Local community intelligence
Better understand the issues at a local level Build or reveal an existing mandate for change

Next Steps LOIP Working group finalise plausible action plan
Available intelligence packaged into localities Locality groups (including LCLDP groups) to use this as a menu inform their own actions. How do you think the CLDP and LCLDP groups should progress?
