Spanish Language Instruction in the IB-PYP
The intention of this workshop is to provide a BASIC understanding of how the essential elements of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) are used in the Spanish classroom. Those elements are: Knowledge, Concepts, Skills, Attitudes, and Action. Also, how the PYP provides opportunities for real world application and develops international-mindedness

What do we want to learn? How best we learn? How will we know what we have learned? The written curriculum is the expression of issues, concepts and ideas on paper. What is worth knowing. The taught curriculum is the theory and application of effective classroom practices. The assessed curriculum is the assessment of the actual learning that take place for each student. Serendipity moment: When my theory, applications and best practices collide with my students multiple intelligence.

The PYP beliefs: International Education by promoting and developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The PYP perspective: International- mindedness “Mentalidad Internacional”.
