Believe  Obey  Contend  Continue
“The Faith” has been revealed to us by God. He expects us to believe it, obey it, contend for it, and continue in it. We must be watchful lest we stray from the faith.

2. THE FAITH
The faith is what God has revealed for us to believe in (Galatians 3:23; Jude 3)
It is taught to and followed by those who have received Christ (Colossians 2:6-7)
It is the “one faith” (Ephesians 4:5)
The faith is communicated in the gospel, the word of God (Colossians 1:23; Acts 24:24; 13:7-8)

3. THE FAITH The faith is what we believe (Acts 13:12)
The faith is what we obey (Acts 6:7)
The faith is what we contend for (Jude 3; 1 Corinthians 16:13)
We must continue in the faith! (Acts 14:21-22; Colossians 1:21-23)

4. The possibility of straying from the faith is a real danger!
By believing false doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1-3; 2 Timothy 2:17-18)
By failing in our responsibilities (1 Timothy 5:8)
By loving money (1 Timothy 6:10)
By heeding false knowledge (1 Timothy 6:20-21; Titus 1:12-14)

5. KEEP THE FAITH!
“Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12-13)
