10 Everyone must wear Safety eye protection while observing or taking part in lab activities, before, during & after school. (Z.87 ANSI approved eyewear)

11 Its the Law 146.015 Safety eye protective goggles. 146.015(1) (1) Every student and teacher in schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions participating in or observing any of the following courses is required to wear appropriate industrial quality eye protective goggles at all times while participating in or observing such courses or laboratories:

Please keep them on at all times.

14 Skin protection is recommended when working with chemicals & corrosives.

15 Wear appropriate clothing while performing tasks.

17 Do not wear jewelry on your wrists, fingers, ears, or neck while working on vehicles.

18 Long hair must be tied back to prevent getting caught up in moving machinery.

19 Horseplay, practical jokes, and fooling around will not be tolerated in the shop or the classroom.

20 Shop cleanliness & orderliness is important for a safe and efficient work environment.

21 Keep tools in good condition by using them properly and storing them properly. Please store them cleanly too.

22 Dont attempt to use equipment that you are unfamiliar with. Always get the instructors demonstration before use.

23 Carbon monoxide is an odorless, poison gas present in engine exhaust. CO can kill you! Always use proper ventilation on running vehicles.

27 When doing heavy or awkward lifting, always get assistance and lift with your knees, not your back.

32 No Vandalism Vandalism or theft of school property or theft of another students projects or possessions may result in, but is not limited to: removal from class with an F, expenses for damages or loss, charged with destruction of private/public property, and/or theft, and possible expulsion from school.

39 Work only under the supervision of an instructor. Do not work alone in the shop or the parking lot.

40 Keep automatic transmission vehicles in park & manual transmission vehicles in neutral & block the wheels while jacking or doing any running tests.

41 Enter your vehicle completely before cranking the engine.

42 All vehicles raised with jacks must be supported with safety stands or jack stands. Never trust a jack to hold a vehicle up.

45 Raise jack handles and stand up floor creepers when not in use to prevent tripping over them or slipping on them.
