Using your knowledge of the legal system and the Constitution, respond with a full explanation. “Hey, like, I know, like, OJ went to court for murder and stuff. I thought the jury said he, you know, didn’t do it. But then those two peoples’ families sued him, and they, like, took all his money, and his trophies*, and houses. They shouldn’t be able to do that, right?” *[Editor’s note: Trophies which he later attempted to steal at gunpoint from their new owners. Now sentenced to 33 years with possible parole after 11 years. The Juice is not loose.]

An Introduction to Civil Law
Part I: Using any available online resources, locate five recent (within the last six months) civil cases involving liability. Discuss the nature of the case, who is involved (i.e. identify the plaintiff and defendant), and explain any expected (or dictated) damages (either punitive or compensatory).
