Habitat An area where an organism lives Includes both biotic and abiotic factors

Niche All strategies and adaptations a species uses in its environment including: Type of food an organism eats How it obtains food and shelter When and how a species reproduces and survives **No two species can share the same niche in the same habitat.**

Organisms and Their Habitat
Predators- Organisms that seek out and eat other organisms. Prey Organisms that are eaten. Symbiosis- Any relationship in which two species live closely together.

Symbiosis Type: Mutualism
Description- both species benefit from a relationship Example: flowers and insects rhino and a tick bird

Symbiosis Type: Commensalism
Description: One organism benefits and the other is neither helped nor harmed. Examples: Trees and moss Whales and barnacles

Symbiosis Type: Parasitism
Description: One organism lives on or in an organism and harms it. Example: Dogs and ticks Human and mosquito
