Find the ten mistakes in the paragraph at the top Answer the multiple choice questions Content Objective Today I will review one of our new vocabulary words by writing the definition, at least two synonyms, drawing a picture and creating a sentence using my classmate’s presentations Today I will work with a group to develop a description of Malala using evidence from the text I am Malala and my notes Language Objective I will be discussing the novel and its main character, Malala, using acquired vocabulary, with my classmates as well as re- reading the text when necessary, and writing my ideas down to form a coherent character portrait

4 Project Choice #1: Letter Partners
Directions: Pretend you are a character from the book and you are writing a letter to another character in the story. Be sure to describe the character accurately as well as the conflict you are presenting in the letter. Describe as many aspects as you can using sensory details. Sensory details are what you can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. Your partner will pretend to be the character you are writing to and answer your letter.

6 Project Choice #2: ABC Summary Groups of 3 or 4
Directions: Create a poster or digital presentation using all 26 letters of the alphabet to develop a summary of the novel. Use important characters (who), what they did, where they went, when the events occurred, as well as why and how the events in the story happened. The summary most also have a visual component (pictures/images)

8 Project #3: Video Representation Partners/Solo
Create a video representation of a chapter in the novel. You may use Claymation, Legos, Dolls, any kind of animation software, or you can act it out using real people. (Video must not be longer than 15 minutes please)
