Syrian baking We were very lucky to have Siwan’s mum come into school and show us how to make some food very special to her and he country is Syria. It is called Kibbeh. It was amazing to watch and help to make too. We all tasted lots of it when it was cooked. Its nearly Christmas and we all made some Christmas cakes. They were yummy. We made some cakes to sell at our Christmas performance as well. In Science we have been learning about milk and what we can make from it. We experimented and we made some cheese. It was brilliant.

Science We made cheese! I am very proud of my whisk
It’s hard work squashing all this fruit. We made cheese! We made our own jam in class and we also made some butter and cheese. The fruit had to be squashed and cooked in a pan to make the jam. It tasted yummy. We all made a whisk of our own, just like the real ones we used in Science.

King of Kings We have read this as our Christmas book in class.
First we tried to remember everything we know about Mr Hegarty and made a long list. Then we tried to think what Mr Hegarty would think was important at Christmas and wrote our own Christmas messages. Finally we compared this Christmas story to the Nativity story. We found lots of similarities and differences!
