4 How much water is that? It's roughly 326 million cubic miles (1.332 billion cubic kilometers), according to a recent study from the U.S. Geological Survey. Some 72 percent of Earth is covered in water, but 97 percent of that is salty ocean water and not suitable for drinking.

5 - There is the same amount of water on Earth as there was when the Earth was formed. The water from your faucet could contain molecules that dinosaurs drank.

6 If Earth was the size of a basketball, all of its water would fit into a ping pong ball

7 The average total home water use for each person in the U. S
The average total home water use for each person in the U.S. is about 50 gallons a day.

8 Water is part of a deeply interconnected system
Water is part of a deeply interconnected system. What we pour on the ground ends up in our water, and what we spew into the sky ends up in our water.

9 75% of the human brain is water and 75% of a living tree is water.

10 Ways to Conserve H2O Put food coloring in your toilet tank. If it seeps into the toilet bowl without flushing, you have a leak. Fixing it can save up to 1,000 gallons a month. Adjust sprinklers so only your lawn is watered and not the house, sidewalk, or street. Avoid recreational water toys that require a constant flow of water. Turn off the water while brushing your teeth and save 25 gallons a month. Drop your tissue in the trash instead of flushing it and save water every time. Wash your car on the lawn, and you'll water your lawn at the same time.
