Time Matters Triggers & Auto Entry Forms
Trigger Definition: When using triggers in Time Matters you can automate reactions. For every trigger defined action there is a automated reaction. Auto Entry: Like a macro, an auto entry form can fill in information on a form style automatically. If linked to a form code, it can pre-fill an entire form or certain fields.

Business purpose example: Whenever a matter changes status, the firm wants to have a note record created to document the change in status. This way a report can be generated including all status changes. The firm does not want to rely on the user to update the a separate record documenting the change needs to be created. Although the audit trail is extremely useful, the firm wants a report that can be generated for each status change on matters.

Time Matters Triggers & Auto Entry Forms
Objective 1: Create a Time Matters trigger that will automatically create a note Objective 2: Create a Time Matters AutoEntry form that will automatically fill in the critical fields on the note. Goal: Produce a dynamic report that will show all status changes made on any matter – in real time.

Objective 2: After the note record has been created, it should be filled in with specific information that might be edited by an individual user, but does not have to be typed by the user. That is when the Auto Entry Form takes over.
