Title Mice Are Everywhere
In North America, there are hundreds of kinds of mice. Mice live in many different places. These small creatures can live in hot or cold or wet or dry climates, in forests, in fields, or in the mountains. Many make their homes in burrows in the ground or in tunnels under the snow. Some are excellent swimmers and live near marshes, while others live in trees. Their homes, lined with soft moss, are shaped like little round balls and are made with twigs, string, cloth, or grass. Mice search out safe places to hide from their many enemies.
