Dialect is a regional variety of a language distinguished by vocabulary, spelling, and pronunciation.
Dialects of a language are representatives of unique culture.

3. Why is english spoken differently around the world?
In the past, and even now, english was and is influenced by other languages neighboring it. This is because the other countries use english for trade internationally, but use some of their own grammar, spelling, and pronunciation in it so they can understand it better.
An example of words that english has picked up in the past years are: potato (from American Indian), bungalow (from India), and other slang from America.

The European Nation has established the European Bureau of Lesser Used Languages to provide financial support for the preservation of about 24 languages, especially languages belonging to the Celtic branch of Indo-European.
Hebrew is an example of a language that has been revived. Words had to be created for objects that did not exist during biblical times. The effort was started by Elizer Ben-Yehuda.
Other examples of revived languages are: Irish Gaelic and Cornish. People have brought them back by performing, making tv shows and teaching in school and church with them.

Language branch- collection of languages related through a common ancestor that existed several thousand years ago

Example: Indo-European (family), Germanic (branch), West Germanic (group)

The Indo-european family is the largest, but the Afro-Asian is almost as large. the indo european is spoken by many in india and the middle east. the afro asian is spoken in the middle east especially arabic.
