Season Begins in September
PLAYER REGISTRATIONS – February 15th, 2018
New Jersey’s, Shorts and Socks.
Metro, Select & House teams will play in the BCCSL (New).
Select & Metro teams will be formed by the TS & Coaches.
House Teams will be formed by the AGC. (Transfer Requests).
Each team will have between 16 – 18 players per team.

10. B). GAMES On Field play consists of 11 v 11 (10 players 1 Goalkeeper)
Size 5 Balls are used.
Games will be at various field locations.
Metro & Select Teams will travel to play away games.
House Teams will play against regional based teams.

11. C). PRACTICES
Don’t Practice Until you get it Right. Practice Until you can’t get it Wrong.
House Teams: 1 Training Session a Week
Choice of a Tuesday or Thursday night session.
Metro & Select Teams: 2 Training Sessions a Week
Select Teams will train on Tuesday & Friday (Suth. or Conf.)
Metro Teams will train on Monday & Thursday (Windsor).
Additional Academy Sessions: Wednesday / Thursday

U12 Player Evaluation Process includes both:
In season (Team Coaches / PHC) – 75%
Tryouts (Invite & Open) – 25%
Metro Tryouts: February 26th – March 1st / 5th
NSGSC & West Van FC - “Working Together”
Select Tryouts: April 3rd / 4th / 5th
Tryout fee TBA (includes both)

18. 5). METRO & SELECT TEAMS What is the Team formation process?
METRO: Tryouts & In Season Evaluations are completed.
NSGSC Tryout Committee / Metro Head Coach / Metro Team Coach / TS
Team is formed and announced in March, before Select Tryouts.
SELECT: Tryouts & In Season Evaluations are completed.
NSGSC Tryout Committee / Select Team Coach / Divisional Head Coach / TS
Teams are formed and announced in April / May.
Players will be notified by or phone to accept / decline offer.

19. STAY AND PLAY ☺ 4). SELECT TEAMS How many Select teams will be formed?
Each year is different after reviewing the evaluations!
The staff looks at the depth and strength of an age group.
Normally 3 Select teams are formed. (Div. 1 – 2 – 3)
This year we won’t know how many teams until everything is processed.
Every year player’s are lost to MUFC, WVFC & other clubs. Avg
STAY AND PLAY ☺

20. 4). SELECT TEAMS Select Coaches, how are they chosen?
The selection process is player driven, not coach driven.
All coaches need to apply online – Application deadline Feb. 23rd
Interviews may or may not take place.
What do we look for?
Coaching history in the club.
Playing experience as a player.
Certification Level.
Coach feedback from parents / players.
DM (Staff Coaches) recommendations.

21. A). COACH EDUCATION & SUPPORT
Coaching Certification courses are FREE through the NSGSC
FREE Coaching Clinics throughout the year – 6 or more
Coach / Manager meeting before the season begins.
Age Appropriate Sessions Plans ed each week.
Coaches have access to over 100 Online Session Plans!
