3 Independent Practice-1 Credit Card Comparison
Use the Internet to research at least three available credit cards. They may be cards offered by one company or cards offered by competing companies. Find information about the credit cards including: The names of the company and card Card type (traditional, reward, business, etc.) Credit needed to be approved APRs (intro, regular and default) Annual fees Late fees Over-the-limit fees Credit limits Rewards Put all of the information found on the Researching Credit Cards table located under Documents and Examples. 5 Independent Practice-2 Credit Guidelines
1. Use information from Financial Literacy: Credit Basics Worksheet and/or research from credible sources found online. 2. Develop a PowerPoint presentation to present to the class which contains at least the following: Eight slides, Credit Terminology & Graphics on each slide Title slide with group members names (Slide 1) Five guidelines for credit (Slide 2) Who are the big 3 credit bureaus (their history, their data, etc.) (Slides 3-5) 3 instances credit can help (Slide 6) 3 ways credit can hurt (Slide 7) Original quote about credit for your audience (Slide 8) 3. The presentation may focus on negative aspects of credit, positive aspects of credit, or a combination of the two. Include any possible consequences or positive results of using credit.
