SRTEPC was set up in 1954 – one of the oldest Export Promotion Council’s in India. Products under the purview of our Council are, Fiber, Yarn, Fabrics, Made-Ups, Home Textiles and Technical Textiles Presently the Council has around 3500 members including some of the biggest names in the Industry Matter of pride for the Council that more than 60% of our members are from the MSME sector Over 1.5 million power looms employing nearly 3 million workers in the MMFT sector sourceindia.srtepc.in

India is the second largest producer of Manmade fibres MMF Textiles exports nearly US$ 6 Bn. to over 150 countries. Fabrics and Made-ups share over 58% in exports of MMF Textiles. ABOUT SURAT Surat, one of the oldest and most widespread textile industries in the country. In fact it is known as the textile hub and the Silk City of India – a major part of the city’s population is associated with textile production. Here are some highlights: The biggest centre for Man-made Fibre Textiles in India Surat has total of 381 dyeing and printing mills and 41,100 power loom units, totaling over a hundred thousand mills and units Nearly 30 million meters of raw fabric and 25 million meters of processed fabric are produced in the city daily Surat is the largest manufacturer of cloth in India with over 800 cloth wholesalers Total no. of Looms in Surat are 72,000 with 485 Process Houses employing 1.5 million people in textiles Surat has good air and road connectivity with Mumbai and Delhi sourceindia.srtepc.in

HOSTED BUYERS AT SOURCE INDIA 2018
SRTEPC shall host a selected group of internationally reputed buyers to attend Source India 2018, the once with firm plans to source the latest Synthetic and Rayon, Textile and Blended products like Fibre, Yarn, Fabrics, including Embroidered Fabrics. Value added Fabrics and Fashion Fabrics for Ready-made Garments. Home Textiles, Made-ups and Technical Textiles. Approved International Buyers will be eligible for: Complimentary economy class return airfare from the nearest international airport in their country to Surat Inland air-conditioned transport in Surat Accommodation for four days and three nights in a business class hotel in Surat Visa recommendation letters for obtaining an Indian Visa in their home country Every application will be reviewed by the SRTEPC Screening Committee and approved buyers will be informed accordingly.
