2. Early Life Born in 1913 on Feb 4th Tuskegee, Alabama
Rosa’s mom wanted her to have a good education
She had to live with segregation which mean’s separation of the races

3. What she is famous for
She is famous for not giving up her seat on the bus, by doing that she helped start the civil rights movement
Her arrest spark a boycott of the bus system

Persistent because she never gave up fighting for her rights

The boycott lasted from Dec 5th, 1955 to Dec 20th,1956 thousands of blacks refused to ride Montgomery’s buses

She would not ride an elevator marked black only, she would take the stairs instead
