NON-FINITES Eg. He loves skating. I need to go to sleep.
Non- finite verbs are those verbs which are not limited by a subject They are also used to form non-finite clauses which are simply dependent clauses that use non-finite verbs. These verbs cannot be the main verb of a clause or sentence as they do not talk about the action that is being performed by the subject or noun. They do not indicate any tense, mood or gender. They are used as nouns, adverbs and adjectives. Eg. He loves skating. I need to go to sleep.

GERUND The non- finite verbs which act like a noun are called gerunds.
They have verb+ing form. They are used to make certain compound nouns like sleeping bags, walking sticks, dining table etc. Eg- 1) He loves camping the woods.. 2) Walking is good for health.

INFINITIVES Non- finite verb which is in its simplest form is called the infinitive verb. It is exactly ‘base’ form of the verb like eat, swim, skate etc. In a sentence it comes with a finite verb. ‘to’ is placed before the present form of the verb to make it an infinitive. Eg- 1) It is a mistake to underestimate your opponent. 2) She stood to welcome me.

PARTICIPLE PARTICIPLE
The non-finite verbs which act like adjectives are called participle. PARTICIPLE PRESENT PAST

PRESENT PARTICPLE Non-finite verb which shows that an action is going on or is incomplete is known as present participle. The verb form used is verb+ing. Eg- 1) He climbed onto the moving train. 2) I saw the moon rising.

PAST PARTICIPLE The non-finite verb which shows action as completed is known as past participle. The verb form used is second or third form of the verb i.e. verb+ed, verb+d, verb+en, verb+t. Eg- 1) His torn clothes looked so shabby. 2) I saw the boy with stolen cycle
