2. Outcome of Discussion. RAC Sector
Background
India requirement is predominantly Large systems
Room Ac 1.5 and 2.0 Tr, Packaged AC 5 tr and above and Scroll Chillers
Experience of R410a is available by and large
The Experience of R 32 and R290 is limited in large systems
The Standards are still evolving in India
All the equipment except Window Ac and Scroll Chillers requires Charging at the time of Installation and commissioning
Service workforce is dispersed and training them will be a challenge
The Subsectors Room Ac , Packaged AC and Screw and Scroll Chillers, VRF , Cond Units are with R22 with ref.
However the consumption of R22 in Room AC , Chillers and Packaged AC is significant

3. Outcome
Packaged AC and Chillers should be considered for phase out on Priority
If the shortfall is not met Room AC to be added

4. Choice of Refrigerants
R410a , R32 and R290 will be the preferred choice
Selection will be based on suitability to sub sector in RAC sector
