Junior High Mission Statement:
The mission of Macomb Jr. High School is to provide a challenging educational experience for each student in a safe environment which promotes responsibility, acceptance, and respect.

Doors open at 7:30; dismiss to hallway 7:50 Parent drop off/pick up at “circle drive” Please call or send a note if your child is leaving school. It is not always a quick “go get” of a student if you just show up in the office.

Middle School Concepts/Features Teaming Advisory
Teachers meet 4 days a week to discuss curriculum, student progress, field trips, incentives, etc. Advisory Focus on student/adult connection, character activities, etc. Other Supports Available: “Homework Club”- after school FREE! (M-TH) 2. Lunch Study Hall

Academic Achievement Homework Policy
Organization (SAB-student assignment book) Eligibility Extracurricular activities: Student Council, Newspaper, Yearbook, Science Club, Cross Country, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Track, Wrestling, Jazz Band, Swing Choir, Cheerleading, Scholastic Bowl Participation Fee is $40 per activity up to three. No fee for band and chorus, but there Is a fee for jazz band and swing choir.

PBIS Safe Organized Academic Respectful Our PBIS Motto:
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention System. Here at Macomb Junior High, we utilize a common language to teach expectations and recognize praise positive behaviors in an effort to decrease negative ones. Students will receive “Bomber Bucks” for exhibiting positive behaviors at school. Our PBIS Motto: We are a Safe, Organized, Academic, Respectful community of learners. Keep same locks the duration of stay at MJSHS. $10 total- one time purchase No expandable shelves No backpacks with wheels “Locker Ladders” available to purchase at August orientation ($17.00 last year: at cost) Padlock- PRACTICE! Locker Ladders last year at cost. May go up slightly this year.
