1 Corinthians 1:17-21- Folly of Preaching!
1 Cor. 1:17-21:For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Romans 1:16- The Power Of God
“for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes….” In order for us to be soul-winners we must believe in the need. History is replete with instances where people in a community rallied to save one child from a well, to save thousands of people in the Towers, to save miners in a mine in Chile, to save animals from danger. If we believe there is a need we will move mountains to get things done. Our job in the church is to praise and adore the Lord not only in word but in deed. Too many Christians are timid about doing what the Lord commanded by evangelizing the world.

How Will We Reach The Lost?
Not only believe there is a cause that demands action. Have a humble heart that is grateful for all that has been done to help you. Christ emptied Himself and came and lived like us. He taught that true greatness is found in service to others. Evangelism is not all about me it is about Christ and others. Do you regularly pray about those you know who are lost? Do you take personally the reality that you are the person the Lord wants to try to reach them with the powerful Word of God? Pray for wisdom and understanding and for boldness and compassion, in dealing with others. We were once those people. They may not respond well but we need to keep telling the truth.

We Must Be Alert and Looking For Opportunities to Teach Others
EXPECT TO SHARE THE GOSPEL. It is the power unto salvation. 1 John 4: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us

Romans 12:1-5 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. We all have a place and a work we can do in the Lord’s church.

Whose Job Is Evangelism?
Mine and Yours.. We cannot opt out of it. We cannot hire someone to do it for us. We cannot do nothing. We must be active about this job God has blessed us to perform for Him. Each One should Teach one. This is God’s personal work plan. Are You reaching out to the lost?
10
Where Are The Prospects?
Everywhere!- Next door, At Work, At school, Family- Friends- Strangers- The Prospects are sometimes up studying the Bible before you are up. Take the time to get up and do what you know God wants ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION: Where Would I be if I had never obeyed the Lord and put Him on in baptism? Be unafraid. I have done this several times The fields are white unto harvest. Am I doing my part?
11
What Do We Do? Do not make excuses! Do not accept these excuses:
No one Cares I am inadequate to do this job. I Can’t! Get busy reaching out to the lost in this world. Nothing beats sitting down with your passage and let it help make you better and not bitter.

Carnal People The power is not in you. If they rejected our Lord they will reject you. Light does not long to be dark. Light makes a clear contrast between it and darkness. All people have worth and value to God. Souls are precious. Carnal mindset sees little value in trying to help someone go to heaven. Carnal people do not see things as the more mature do. This is where we train ourselves to be better soul winners. Older are to train the younger.

All Have Something We Can Do
All in the kingdom have value and worth. We all need one another. God places each one of us in the church and we are all added to it. We must think about how we function while we are here Zeal is needed to move us with compassion on the crowd in the world who are headed to hell. How long would it have taken us in the first century times to have preached the gospel? They did it pretty quickly. How would the storyline in the book of Acts change if God depended on us to get it done?

Romans 12:3-8; Eph. 2:19-22 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Eph. 2:19- 21 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
