5 Greek word for UP: ana In its adverb form, it implies: up, above, up to the top, up to the brim, things above, heaven, the heavenly region.

6 I Cor. 2:11-16 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

7 I Cor. 2:11-16 (continued) This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit judges all things, but he himself is judged by no one, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

8 I Cor.

9 Verses 14 and 15, all three uses of “judged” or “discerned”=
anakrínō (from aná, "up, completing a process," which intensifies krínō, "to select by separating/judging") – to distinguish by vigorously judging "down to up," i.e. closely examining (investigating) through "the process of careful study, evaluation and judgment”; "to examine, investigate, question—finish UP your evaluation!!!! The prefix aná ("up") shows the process involved that takes krinō ("judging/separating") up to its needed conclusion.

10 Other translations use “appraise” or “evaluate”:
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. A person who isn't spiritual doesn't accept the things of God's Spirit, for they are nonsense to him. He can't understand them because they are spiritually evaluated. The spiritual person evaluates everything but is subject to no one else's evaluation. II Corinthians 2:14-15

11 The goal of UP is the SPIRIT VIEW!
THE PROCESS OF “UP” (ana) IN OUR LIVES ISN’T COMPLETED UNTIL WE HAVE TRANSITIONED OUT OF THE FLESH AND INTO THE SPIRIT! The goal of UP is the SPIRIT VIEW! Where we understand all things and no one has to understand us!!!! THAT is where faith lives!

12 THIS IS POSSIBLE FOR US BECAUSE JESUS FINISHED “UP”!!!!!
Ephesians 4:9-10 What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe. Hebrews 4:14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Ascended = ana + baino = go up; spring up; come up!!!!

13 FINISHING UP means allowing Jesus to pass through all our levels and sit on the throne of our lives!
We may not see the situations change yet outwardly, BUT WE SEE JESUS and know change is emerging from the Spirit! Hebrews 2:8b-9 At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

14 FINISHING UP means FINISHING “IN CHRIST”!
Anakephalaíomai--from aná, "up," intensifying kephalaióō, "bring to a head” or head-up, summing up all the parts as a comprehensive (organized) whole; anakephalaíomai shows the head as the "organizing center," causing all the parts to work together in harmony—causing the part to FINISH UP in the whole! Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might sum up all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him. FINISHING UP means FINISHING “IN CHRIST”! Another Greek word using UP (ana)

15 FINISHING UP means FINISHING IN LOVE!!!!
Anakephalaíomai—causing each part to finish up in its place in the whole Romans 13:9 The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself.” FINISHING UP means FINISHING IN LOVE!!!!

16 Romans 12:2 Be transformed by the RENEWING of the mind….
anakaínōsis (from aná, "up, completing a process," which intensifies kainō, "make fresh, new”) – a new development; a renewal, achieved by God's power. FINISHING UP manifests in MIND RENEWAL…which manifests in TRANSFORMATION! One last UP (ana) word

17 THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTS TO HELP YOU FINISH UP TODAY IN ANY CATEGORY:
Seeing in the Spirit, not the flesh…. (Believing that Jesus has already passed through the messy layers of your life…) Walking out of 2017 and into 2018 knowing you are IN CHRIST!!! (You have been “in-Christed”….) Shifting from pain and blame to LOVE (received and expressed)… Having your mind freshened up with new thoughts!
