UBT members in Primary Care at the Engelwood Medical Office implemented a faster way of administrating Remicade, a medicine used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. The new process takes 1½ hours—instead of 3 ½ hours—and frees up chair time so more patients can be seen.

When staff members at the Regional Infusion Center in the Northwest got wind of Colorado’s new method of administrating Remicade, they followed suit. The team’s co-leads pushed for quick regional approval of the protocol, and the team was able to implement it within just a few months.
