3. Under President Washington, (two cabinet members) Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson disagreed over how to interpret the U.S. Constitution.

6. In the 1790s, Hamilton devised a financial plan to pay off the debts of the U.S. and this plan included the creation of a national bank.
