3 Inward Spiral start at the perimeter and work toward the center
Useful for individuals working alone

4 Outward Spiral start at the center and work outward
Useful for individuals working alone

5 Line Search Pattern Divide the space into North/South strips
Walk in parallel at the same speed Useful for teams & outdoor crime scenes.

6 Grid Search consists of two line searches performed perpendicularly
Useful for groups searching in wooded/irregular terrain Useful for groups searching for trace evidence

7 Zone divide the space into equally sized pieces
each searcher works through their zone and then rotates. Useful for small teams looking for trace.

8 Scenario 1 - Practice your CSP skills!
Groups of 6 Three witnesses: Two civilians, One police officer Use the information provided to respond to the questions to the best of your ability. Three inspectors Ask the witnesses questions to complete your investigation The witnesses and inspectors will switch tomorrow for scenario 2.
