Good morning / afternoon everyone! We just saw most of you at the recent Vendor Training Events, but unlike those events, today is dedicated completely to Decora.
Before we get started, <Introductions>
When a customer walks into your showroom for the first time and asks you to tell the differences amongst the brands, how many of you would describe Decora as “high-end?” What do you think your customers think when they hear “high end?” <Will probably hear “expensive.> Absolutely. We all do. But that’s not necessarily true.
Our goals today are to 1) reinforce what we already know about Decora, 2) share some new ways to utilize Decora and 3) focus on how we can qualify our customers properly in Decora. How we can think differently about this amazing line.
Speaking of thinking differently. Let’s start off with a little creative thinking exercise.

So we’ll start with what defines Decora? Is it the rich history, is it the customer, is it the unique advantages or is it it’s positioning in the market place? It’s all of the above.

Add a Drawer
Full width drawer added below wall cabinets
Available in 1, 2 or 3 drawer options
Each drawer adds 6” to overall cabinet height
Maximum overall cabinet height is 60”
Many doors have different drawer front mods available; check spec guide to be sure.
Add a drawer mod has been used on wall portion of hutch unit in display.

Finished Interior
Interior shelves, sides, top and bottom are stained to match outside finish
MIP has all plywood shelves

Transom Door
Available in solid wood or cut-for-glass
Can be added to cabinets 36” – 48” tall
Can be prepped for glass in top, bottom or both
Upper section will always be 12” high
NOT available in mitered door styles
There is NOT a floor between the two sections

Finished Blinds
Open panel of the blind cabinets can be filled with solid matching wood
Ideal design application for shorter peninsula cabinets

Wide Top Rail
Increase top rail in ¼” increments to an additional 3 ½”
Cabinet height increases by the dimension selected
End and back panels are extended up the same height
Door size never changes
Available in wall, base and tall cabinets

Wide Bottom Rail Wall
Increase bottom rail in ¼” increments to an additional 3 ½”
Cabinet height increases by the dimension selected
End and back panels are extended down the same distance
Door size never changes
Only available in wall cabinets
Arch valance available on base with Wide Bottom Rail Arch modification

Split Drawers
Split Doors adds a center mullion in cabinets 24” – 39” wide
Split Drawers breaks a wide drawer into 2 small drawers
Split Drawers on a drawer base will only apply to top drawer

10. Decorá Display Modifications
Clipped Corners
Available left, right or both on Walls, Bases and Talls
Clip is a 450 angle making face frame 3” smaller for each clip
Factory fluting on clip is available but ordered separately
Some modifications to side panels do not work with this modification.

Integral Ends
3/8” plywood end panel with attached furniture panel
Creates a furniture look to the cabinet
Sides will be flush automatically
Integral Ends will closely match selected door style
Outside profile is ALWAYS square regardless of door profile
Inside profile matches door style
Not available on mitered doors
Covers the entire depth of the cabinet side - no overlay reveals

Face Frame and Door on End
Face frame and door attached to left or right side, not both
Creates a working door on the end of a cabinet
Available in wall, base and tall cabinets
Toekick is automatically recessed on FFD side

14. Decorá Display Modifications
Special Height
Available in 3” increments on many wall and base cabinets
Door sizes change with Special Height Modification

15. Decorá Display Modifications
Special Depths
Available in ¼” increments for cabinets without drawers or sliding shelves
Minimum depth = 6”, Maximum depth = 30”
Cabinets with drawers or sliding shelves available in 12”, 15”, 18”, 21” and 24” only
If deeper options are required, End Extend Back modification is available

Wide Stiles
Available in 1½” or 3” increments ONLY
Face frame extends inward
Cabinet width does not change
Creates a smaller door opening
Can be ordered with factory fluting when WS3
is selected
