The father was the one who determined when the house was ready.

Had to maintain her purity

41. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ Corinthians 11:2

Had to sew a finely-made dress for the wedding

43. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints Revelation 19:8

meaning = to take or carry
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also John 14:3
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up… Thessalonians 4:16

Glorification: Like the actual ceremony and the presentation seven days later

Consumation as the Bride of Christ
Receiving authority during the millennium
An eternal reward to enjoy throughout eternity future

Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
