Strategies & practices are out there No good examples of coherent, student-centered & comprehensive process that integrate them Partnership with CCA Extension of Pathway Career Focused: Integrating career assessment and exploration into advising and curriculum; Engaging students with labor market information

Next Steps Report back to campuses - 10 campus initiative
Inventory of tools & practices we have/use Gather data to support partnership Reconvene in November 2016 with all campus representatives REAL GOAL: Fewer undeclared students, less major-switching, higher retention, higher completion Ideas- E - component at the beginning - possibly attached to UH common application- @ application stage - some form of assessment, [still have questions- direct referral to career counselor] Tie it to STAR Two groups- ppl already here, ppl that will be applying assessment first then career exploration How do we make it high touch? For those that need it? Perhaps My Success? integrating advising & career counseling as one, cohort based per academic counselor for liberal arts Get the right tools and when they should they use it - as a system when do we provide it to them and be more directive Connect myfurturehawaii questions to mobile application/portal to connect to the “buckets” - meta majors Make it personal Recheck through STAR Initial - convene; discuss advising & career link; meta majors at all campuses; launch Hawaii industry Future: Review myfuturehawaii, tied to application (mobile app), assessment State- UH approach- 4 yr. Vs. 2 yrs. - similar by type Hold us accountable - leadership and committee Didn’t look at them.
