Total Hot Meals served in FY : 3,234,028 Total Hot Meals served in FY : 4,216,425 With the Leadership of Dr. Wardynski and our School Board, Huntsville City Schools’ CNP Program has increased Total Hot Meals served annually to our students by: 1 MILLION MEALS

Is a Wellness Plan and Nutrition Education required by all schools in Alabama?
The “Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010” made it a requirement that all school districts and individual schools maintain and enforce a Wellness Plan. As of July 1, 2014, the new “Smart Snacks in Schools” regulation issued by the USDA clearly defines what items may be sold during the school.
