Solutions Problems with combinations of the PED and pre-PED equipment There is applicable explanation 3/11 in PED guidelines Any equipment, which was put into market before May 29, 2002 and after this data was/will installed into assemblies or put into use, should comply with national previous regulations of destination country There is recommendation to use Code of practice CP34 from UK 3-5 October, 2005 PETERIS DRUKIS - Association of Technical Experts of Latvia

Solutions Different interpretation of PED requirements from notified bodies There should be use accreditation as instrument of evaluation of competence of Notified bodies Each Notified body should use PED guidelines for interpretation of PED requirements There is strongly recommendation to national accreditation authorities to evaluate how notified bodies to follow with solutions of NB Forum and how bodies participate in Forum 3-5 October, 2005 PETERIS DRUKIS - Association of Technical Experts of Latvia

Solutions Problems with common methodology for hazard analyses There is recommendation to use a methodology in accordance with standard EN 1050 There is recommendation to take hazardous criteria for evaluation from harmonized standard EN 764-4 Such analyses always should be done during of designing of pressure equipment/assembly Notified bodies couldn’t produce such evaluation by self and should request analyses from manufacturer 3-5 October, 2005 PETERIS DRUKIS - Association of Technical Experts of Latvia
