9 Propane’s emissions profile looks a lot like the emissions profile of natural gas. They both burn cleaner than gasoline and diesel in most on-road applications. 12 SHUTTLE VANS Colorado Mountain Express operates a shuttle service for the resorts in Vail, Colorado, using 15-passenger Roush CleanTech Ford E-350 vans. Robert Tschupp, the company's vice president and general manager, says each van is saving him $18,600 a year in fuel costs. “Propane autogas has become the alternative fuel of choice for the shared-ride industry,” he says. “This domestic fuel is not only more economical than gasoline, its clean-burning properties work to preserve the pristine environment in which we live and work — something that is extremely important to our company.”
