1 Harvard graduate student Arti Garg hunting dark matter (microlensing candidates) with the Magellan telescope (Above) The PanSTARRS telescope atop the volcano Haleakala with its 1.4 Gigapixel wide field camera. This system will provide thousands of supernovae to probe the dynamics of the expansion of the Universe. William High is shown installing a multiband imager for PanSTARRS calibration. (Left) Christopher Stubbs posing in front of the dome for the 4 meter telescope at CTIO in Chile. We are using this telescope for two ambitious surveys, one for dark matter and the other for dark energy. The APOLLO lunar laser ranging system on the 3.5 meter telescope at Apache Point, New Mexico will allow us to test General Relativity at ten times the existing precision.
