Sketch and label a graph to represent a real-life situation.

Compare each other’s graphs.
Preamble
An open-ended task, in some respects similar to the “starter” but children should be encouraged to incorporate what they have just learnt. Looking at and sharing graphs is a useful and worthwhile activity. It may be useful to also ask children to describe how their story would change if they changed the scale of their axes.
