In order for AdQ to offer its video advertising customers the real-time ad decision logic they demanded, AdQ needed high performance, cloud-based services that scale to meet the high-volume requirements of its publisher's ad environments. SOLUTION
Thanks to its unparalleled scalability, AdQ chose the Microsoft Azure cloud platform for its solution. It leverages flexible Azure Redis Cache services to handle tens of thousands of requests per second, enabling AdQ to scale efficiently enough to grow. AdQ has also implemented Azure Queues to offload the processing of large amounts of performance metrics on worker roles and utilizes Azure auto scaling based on queue size to expand and contract workers as needed. AdQ leverages Azure auto scaling of web roles based on CPU load to provide a highly scalable front end to handle spikes in traffic automatically. AdQ also relies on Azure SQL Database for user, ad performance, publisher targeting, and other business-critical data.
