5 Behaviour Actions Impact
‘Non-negotiables’ for behaviour have been implemented consistently across the school. All staff use the Reflection Room as a consequence for low-key behaviour issues School policies for Behaviour, Anti-Bullying and Equality revised to reflect agreed expectations, rewards and consequences Personal merit charts in each classroom to record positive behaviour, as suggested by Parent/Carer Forum Impact Reduced incidents of aggression/bullying, name- calling/teasing and hurting reported by parents, carers or pupils January 2018

6 Behaviour External Validation Next Steps
Parents, carers and visitors on Learning Walks/Open House observed that behaviour and purposeful collaboration are consistently good due to engaging activities and teaching External Validation In January the Standards and Monitoring Board assessed Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare as ‘Good’ Next Steps Additional training, by Miss Kimber, for pupils on leading playtime games and conflict resolution First Aid training in the spring term for Year 5 and 6 pupils funded by the Parents’ Association January 2018

7 Learning & Pupil Outcomes
Actions for Reading and Maths Learning/Attainment moderated in reading, maths and writing for SEND, at expected and more able pupils with TOPS Cluster Use of the library/reading for enjoyment increased through School Librarians, Reading Council and teachers’ reading Timetabled sessions and training on Reading Explorers and VIPERS for inferential reading skills/comprehension Impact Attainment at, or above, age-related expectations in reading is currently 76.7% in Yr 3, 77.2% in Yr 4, 86.7% in Yr 5 and 90% in Yr 6. Local and national benchmarks were 71% in 2017 January 2018

8 Learning & Pupil Outcomes
Pupils books and class reading logs show evidence of regular reading skills’ teaching and response to challenging texts Overall there was a 16% rise in library loans during Autumn compared to Autumn (20% more than 2015) Pupil questionnaires showed that 10% more boys rate gave reading a rating of 4 or 5 stars at the end of the autumn term Next Steps Embed the use of visual/concrete materials to support problem- solving and calculations in maths for SEND learners Further training on planning for challenge and SEND support and maximising the use of TAs to accelerate progress in maths January 2018
