Righteousness-conformity to God’s holy standard

When cancer treatment is successful, we say, “the cancer is in remission.”

When you justify something, you give a reason for why it’s okay. When God died for us, it gave us a reason to be declared okay.

Redemption- set free by the payment of ransom
