Duties: A trustee works with the rest of the Key Club International Board to define the administrative policies of Key Club International Interprets the scope and meaning of the bylaws Carries out committee directives Responsible for acting as a liaison between the Key Club International Board and at least two Key Club districts Maintains consistent communication with the leadership of the districts to which are assigned

18 What is YOF? The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is a grant Key Club International Offers that can get you anywhere from $100-$2000 to help you accomplish a service project One funding cycle for YOF grants per year Applications accepted from summer through fall Deadline is October 15th, 2017 at 11:59PM Applications reviewed by YOF Committee at November Board meeting Committee typically funds clubs who are asking for a portion of the total cost of the project or working with other organization to complete the project All applications are done through Reviewr, the YOF online grant application program. No more paper or printed copies accepted

20 Scoring Criteria Club addresses a significant problem that serves the interests of the larger community and goes beyond their club or school Project outcome accurately meets the needs of the intended population Club’s solution is unique and offers a creative and defensible action plan Sufficient promotion has been completed or is planned for successful completion of the project Club officers and members can credibly implement the plan and provide enough volunteers and/or other resources Club has reasonable financial plan and will partially fund the project with money besides the YOF Grant Presentation shows clear initiative and determination on behalf of the club to complete the project Presentation was thoughtfully prepared, professionally delivered, and offer compelling reasoning and logic.

Judged on a 1-5 scale for each of the 8 criteria 1= Does not fulfill the criteria 2= Fulfills some of the criteria 3= Moderately fulfills the criteria 4= Fulfills most of the criteria 5= Completely fulfills the criteria

22 Example of a YOF Grant Project
Valley Key Club of Division 28 East built bicycles for foster children within the Las Vegas valley that needed a medium of transportation for school. In order to help fund they held multiple fundraisers during schools and held a car wash. They bought all parts to build 60 bicycles for 60 children within the valley. The Problem: Foster children need a medium of transportation for school. The Solution: Pool together the YOF grant money and funds raised from school events, Valley was able to create 60 bicycles.
