SITUATION
There can be some administrative overhead involved in getting started with Office 365 SharePoint document management. MetaShare wanted to create a solution that would simplify the process and make it more intuitive for companies to get going with SharePoint. They also sought to add useful new features to SharePoint that would help companies and employees get the most out of SharePoint document management and collaboration features.

MetaShare’s solution combines the flexibility of Office 365 with the power of Azure to simplify SharePoint document management. MetaShare adds case management, full-fledged archiving, enhanced collaboration workspaces, and the ability to create reusable tag information models for SharePoint worksites and project sites. MetaShare simplifies folder and document migration by using Azure AD for authentication, Azure App Service for hosting the web app, and by storing user data in the Office 365 tenant, while storing metadata about the user’s environment in Azure SQL.
