2. What caused the 1st and 2nd Continental Congress
1st continental congress was arranged because they wanted to discuss ways to challenge britain and included all the colonial leaders. They each agreed if britain did not accept the terms there would be a 2nd continental congress
The 2nd continental congress was arranged because the british parliament did not agree to the colonies demands.
Before this the colonist felt they were being mistreated and wanted to break away from britain

3. What events occured during the 1st continental congress
During the 1st continental congress they agreed to do the boston tea party in a way of revolting against the british tea act.
This led to a punishment known as the intolerable acts in which the colonists had to
1.) The Harbor was closed until the tea damage was paid for.
2.Abrogated the colonies charter
3.)British officials went to England for trial
4.)Colonist had to house the soldiers
5.) removed territory and fur trade between Ohio and Missisipi river

4. The result of the 1st & 2nd continental congress
As a result of the first continental congress King George III did not agree to the colonies demands therefore leading to the 2nd continental congress
The result of the 2nd continental congress was the formation of the continental army including an agreement for George Washington to be the commanding officer. One big event that occured during this was the drafting and signing of the declaration of independance.

5. The Second Continental Congress
The Second Continental Congress happened because the colonists wanted to find a way to deal the British army. During the congress they agreed to send the Olive Branch Petition (written by John Dickson). When they sent King George the petition, he ignored it and said that the colonists are in a state of rebellion. He then sent the hessian mercenaries. This made the colonists even more mad than before. The declaration of independence would soon be drafted and signed

6. In the end
In the end of the first and second continental congress it was decided that the colonist would start a revolution and fight britain in a war called the American revolution
This still effects due to the fact that without the 1st and 2nd continental congress we would not have fought britain and gain our independence we might’ve been called the united states of britain
