What is Hemopoiesis? Hemopoiesis is the formation of blood cells.

Too Many Red Blood Cells?
If you have to many red blood cells, you get,Polycythemia Vera. The disease means that the spongy tissue inside bones where blood cells are made is affected by a type of chronic leukemia that causes it to make more cells than it should.

Not Enough Red Blood Cells?
If you are at a lack of red blood cells, you are anemic. Meaning you are not able to produce enough iron in your body.

Not Enough White Blood Cells?
If you don’t have enough white blood cells you can an infection. If you don’t have enough platelets your blood clot and you’ll bleed excessively.

Too Many White Blood Cells?
If you have too many white blood cells, it isn’t a specific disease. It might show that you have another health problem, though. You might have an infection, stress, inflammation, trauma, allergy, or another certain disease. You will want a further investigation if you have a high white blood cell count.
