I will… see how the Cell Theory was developed The average red blood cell lives for 120 days We give birth to 100 billion RBC’s every day. The average white blood cells live for about 3-4 hours in the blood & 3-4 days in the tissues We give birth to about 1.2 million WBC/second! There is 1 WBC for every RBC This is an actual picture of White Blood Cells, in with some red blood cells. The platelets are stained purple, a T-Lymphocyte white cell is stained green, and a Monocyte white cell is stained gold as seen through a scanning electron microscope.
