If you find a “word in the wild,” snap a picture of it and send it to me! You’ll get three things:
Participation points Recognition on the bulletin board (your name and what you found) CANDY

YOU CAN ALSO SUBMIT WORDS!
If you come across and interesting and unknown word, submit it to the word submission basket. This is a great way to earn participation (especially if you are on the shyer side), and your word might show up in class as one of the ones we all study! Cool!

Week 1 Words Aplomb – noun – self-confidence, especially in a difficult situation Brackish – adjective – slightly salty in flavor Furtive – adjective – done or acting in a way that is not intended to be noticed; sneaky Swagger – verb – to walk in a way that makes it look as if you are very confident or important; strut
